Generate, apply and disseminate knowledge in food science and technology for the academic community, the agri-food sector and society, developing interdisciplinary processes of research, teaching and extension with relevance and quality, which contribute to the fulfillment of sustainable development objectives.
By 2034, ICTA will be the most important research and extension center in food science and technology at the National University of Colombia and in the region in the development of new products and processes, quality assurance, application of emerging technologies and nutritional evaluation of food products, in addition to being recognized as an actor in the country's Science, Research and Technology System for its contributions to the fulfillment of the objectives of sustainable development.
