Extension

Extension, as a mission function of the University, seeks to establish an integration between the scientific, technological, artistic, and cultural knowledge of the academy and the current needs of society at the national and international levels, aiming to enhance its well-being by increasing its competitiveness and productivity. The Institute's extension activities are aimed at fostering and establishing interaction processes with the community, ensuring its presence in the country, contributing to the understanding and solution of its problems and needs, and addressing the challenges in the field of food to improve the sector's competitiveness.

Continuing and Lifelong Education

The Institute offers various programs aimed at deepening, complementing, updating, sharing, or training in academic or work-related aspects of food science and technology.

They focus on areas such as Food Quality Assurance (microbiological, physicochemical, and sensory), Meat Processing and Preservation Technologies, Fruit and Vegetable Processing and Preservation Technologies, Dairy and Dairy Products, among others.

The methodology can be theoretical, practical, or a combination of both, delivered through in-person, hybrid, or virtual education, according to the needs of each activity.
